Accounting Technician

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician on a full-time temporary basis (15 month term) on our Corporate Accounting team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. What you’ll do: * Code and process freight payments and related charges for merchandise freight vendors and lease operators. * Process retail invoicing for courier charges. * Process monthly recovery journal entries. * Other duties as required. Who you’ll work with: The Team: You will work closely with other Processing Clerks and Accounting Technicians on a team lead by the Accounting Supervisor, Processing. Who you are: You are looking for a career in Finance and: * Have a high school diploma and two post-secondary courses in financial accounting from an accredited post-secondary institution. * Have a minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience related to the applicable function. The Accounting Technician will code and process freight payments, retail invoicing for courier charges, and monthly recovery journal entries. They will work collaboratively within the Corporate Accounting team to support local Co-ops.

Candidates must have a high school diploma and at least two post-secondary courses in financial accounting. A minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience is required for this role.
