Job summary
RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Operation and financial oversight of Plumbing & Heating department. 2. Oversee all Journeypersons, apprentices and office staff, including scheduling, job assignments and onsite supervision. 3. Ensure all administrative work is complete in a timely and accurate manner. These duties include job tracking, purchase orders, warranty claims, billing, etc. 4. Responsible for Inventory and fleet management. 5. Responsible to support business growth by cultivating existing customers and developing new business opportunities within the Plumbing & Heating department. 6. Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations and safety standards. 7. Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Journeyperson ticket in either plumbing, electrical, sheet metal or refrigeration tech required. Extensive experience and knowledge in plumbing and heating operations, including team leadership and project management. Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills. Experience in scheduling, dispatching and administrative oversight. Ability to mentor and train staff, including apprentices and technicians. Proficiency with industry software, including MI9, JDE and Microsoft office programs. Proven track record of maintaining safety standards, job quality and operational efficiency. This position is classified as Safety Sensitive: therefore, is subject to Pioneer Co-op’s Alcohol & Substance policy as a condition of employment.
