About the Role The successful candidate will be a visible leader on the sales floor, supporting team members while creating a positive shopping experience for customers. Key Responsibilities * Lead the daily operations of the Produce Department. * Manage departmental sales, margins, expenses, pricing, and inventory performance. * Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members. * Foster a positive, engaged, and customer-focused team culture. * Ensure high standards of merchandising, freshness, product quality, and store image. * Maintain exceptional customer service standards and effectively resolve customer concerns. * Review and analyze department results and implement improvement plans as needed. * Manage ordering, receiving, inventory control, supplier invoices, and claims processes. * Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and workplace safety standards. * Work collaboratively with the Food Store Manager to achieve store goals and operational objectives. Qualifications * Minimum 3 years of retail experience with 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience. * Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * A passion for customer service and team development. * Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
