In this role, you'll be involved in all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, month-end processes, and payment administration. While this position is being recruited as a temporary job, there may be future opportunities within the organization for the successful candidate. What You'll Do As a General Accountant, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing organization by ensuring accurate financial records, timely payment processing, and reliable financial reporting. Duties include but are not limited to: Processing invoices, vendor payments, expense allocations, and account reconciliations. Managing daily banking activities, deposits, and bank reconciliations. Preparing journal entries, maintaining general ledger accounts, and supporting financial reporting. Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, audits, and financial analysis. Processing adjuster and contractor payments and supporting commission reconciliations. Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies. Collaborating with internal teams to provide accurate financial information and support business operations This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys a variety of responsibilities, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. What You'll Bring Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Why Join Coast Claims?
