About Us Cobalt Construction is a Yukon-based road building and construction company operating multiple active field sites across the territory. Our main office serves as the central hub for scheduling, dispatch, procurement, and day-to-day operations support for our crews in the field. We're looking for an organized, personable, and reliable Administrative Assistant to be the first point of contact for our company and to help keep our office running smoothly. About the Role As the face and voice of Cobalt Construction, you'll manage front-office operations while providing administrative support across departments. Key Responsibilities Greet visitors, contractors, and staff; answer and direct incoming calls and general inquiries Manage incoming/outgoing mail, courier packages, and office correspondence Maintain filing systems (digital and physical) for project, personnel, and administrative records Assist with data entry as directed Order and maintain office supplies, kitchen/break room stock, and PPE inventory as needed Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, including processing invoices and expense claims as directed Provide general administrative support to office staff, Project Managers, HR, and senior leadership where needed Maintain a professional, welcoming, and organized front office/reception area Other duties as assigned to support office and field operations Maintain vehicle registrations with Motor Vehicle Issuer What We're Looking For Previous experience in an administrative, reception, or office support role (construction/industrial sector an asset, not required) Strong verbal and written English communication skills, required for interacting with staff, clients, and the public Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); comfort learning new software/systems Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office environment Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information A positive, team-oriented attitude with a genuine willingness to help Comfort operating a multi-line phone system Ability to lift and move office supplies (up to approximately 25 lbs) Valid driver's license required Legally entitled to work in Canada What We Offer Competitive wage, commensurate with experience Standard office hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm Benefits package after probationary period Stable, year-round office-based position supporting a growing Yukon company Supportive team environment with opportunity to grow within the company Location This is an in-office position based at Cobalt Construction's main office in Whitehorse, Yukon. Please note that workload and call volume typically increase during our field season (spring through fall) as multiple site operations ramp up.
