Central Programmer Analyst

Here is a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities: Take charge of end-to-end development files, from needs analysis to production; Design and develop application solutions in a mainframe environment, taking into account business issues; Act as the main point of contact for certain files and ensure coordination with stakeholders; Mobilize employees, advance work and ensure that priorities and commitments are met; Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices, including code reviews, standards, testing, and automation; Actively participate in the organization of the team, anticipate blockages and propose concrete solutions; Support releases, application stability, and complex incident resolution. The profile sought is as follows: Proven experience in application development, including analysis, design, development and delivery of solutions in a structured environment; Strong knowledge of mainframe environments and Cobol development; Experience with central office tools and practices, including Endevor, Zeke, and log analysis; Good understanding of the insurance industry and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions; Mastery of Agile and DevOps practices, including automation, frequent deliveries and production support; Leadership, autonomy and ability to bring several files to fruition; Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders; Knowledge of Natural and Assembler languages is an asset.

Lead end-to-end development of application solutions in a mainframe environment from analysis to production. Coordinate with stakeholders and team members to ensure priorities are met and contribute to the improvement of development practices.

Requires proven experience in mainframe application development with strong proficiency in Cobol and tools like Endevor and Zeke. Candidates should be familiar with Agile/DevOps practices and have a good understanding of the insurance industry.
