How YOU Make a Difference PSWs support and deliver on all personalized activities of daily living that meet our resident’s needs. This includes ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship and nutritional support. PSWs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families and teams with continuous ongoing and effective communication Our PSWs document the completion of tasks on an electronic health record platform throughout their shift and are able to quickly identify and communicate changes in resident care needs to our clinical leads. What YOU Bring Personal Support Worker Certification from a certified educational facility OR internationally educated nurse Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships Strong written and oral communication skills Demonstrated organizational and time management skills Volunteer/working experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset, not required Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one How We Recognize YOU Service recognition Employee appreciation events An open and engaging team that welcomes input for new ideas and programs Cogir is committed to ensuring that all employment practices are inclusive. Requirements
Candidates must hold a Personal Support Worker certification or be an internationally educated nurse, with current BCLS and First Aid certifications. A current Vulnerable Sector Check is required along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
