Position Purpose: Operate a computer terminal to verify, enter, retrieve and edit data. Key from paper documents or other computer templates at required speed and accuracy level. Key Accountabilities: Read source documents such as cancelled checks, sales reports, or bills, and enter data in specific data fields or onto tapes or disks for subsequent entry, using keyboards or scanners. Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered. Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors. Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors. Maintain logs of activities and completed work. Knowledge & Experience: 5-9 years related experience. Skills & Competencies: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and time management skills. Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. Ability to enter data 7000+ key strokes per hour. Expert user of Microsoft Excel, Access and Word. Completion of a speed and accuracy data entry test. Attributes: Sense of urgency. Information seeking. Listening, understanding and responding. The expected base salary range for this position is $22 – $23 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity. Requirements

Requires 5–9 years of related experience, strong communication, attention to detail, time management, and accurate documentation skills. Candidates must be able to enter at least 7,000 keystrokes per hour, be expert users of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word, and complete a speed-and-accuracy data-entry test.
