Job Summary The College of New Caledonia is recruiting for a full time faculty appointment in the Dental Hygiene program. The successful candidate will be involved in delivering years one and two of the program and will teach theory courses. You will be part of an education team at CNC , engaged in contributing to and supporting students’ and the College’s vision, Strategic Plan, Educational Plan and goals. In addition, you will contribute to a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that allows you to interact with students, co-workers, management and external partners. Skills & Qualifications Minimum: Licensing with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals ( BCCOHP )or eligibility for licensure with BCCOHP . BC Provincial Instructor Diploma Program ( PIDP ) or similar courses. Candidates enrolled in but not completed the PIDP will be considered. 3 years of recent, full-time experience in the dental hygiene profession. Previous teaching experience. Computer literacy including use of electronic learning platforms. A combination of education and teaching experience will be considered Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to dental hygiene education (example: bachelors in dental hygiene, education, sciences). Candidates enrolled in but not completed in a bachelor’s degree program will be considered. Master’s Degree in a related field of study. Licensed Dental Hygienist ©. The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate strong organization abilities and be able to set priorities; have strong interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills; strong professional commitment; an on-going interest in student success and lifelong learning; excellent communication skills and work collaboratively with educational partners. You will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues.

Requirements
Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure with the BCCOHP and have at least 3 years of recent full-time experience in dental hygiene. A Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP) or similar certification and previous teaching experience are required.
