WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR: Performing once per shift fire, safety and physical security checks interior and exterior of main depot building Conducting once per shift fire, safety and physical security checks of building and magazine exterior doors equipped with a handle that are located within the depot compound Roving vehicle patrols during specifically designated timings of the Depot compound interior as a whole Supplying Depot access control 24/7 at Gate # 1, plus during silent hours only at Gate # 10 when this gate is kept in the closed position when not in use Providing escort for all Depot cargo loaded vehicles 24/7, when so required, while occupying the Area Compound WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US: Ontario Secondary School Diploma *MUST* Ontario Security Guard License *MUST* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate *MUST* Have the ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance (resident in Canada 10 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history) Security Clearance Requirement: Reliable upgradeable to Secret DND404 or Complete CGL Defensive Driver Course Ability to provide a clean drivers abstract Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time Ability to complete frequent patrols Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently), ability to speak French is consider an asset Excellent customer service and reception skills The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU: Job type: Full-time Hourly Rate of Pay: $27.93 per hour Hours of work: Variable Nights and Days Monday to Sunday, 1900 to 0700hrs or 0700hrs to 1900hrs Location: CFB Borden, Borden, Ontario WHAT WE OFFER YOU: Medical and Dental Employee assistance program Family Assistance program Coaching and counselling support WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR COMMSSIONAIRES As a front-line representative of our company and client’s site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, have the ability to multitask and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times. Candidates must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma, a valid Ontario Security Guard License, and current First Aid/CPR certification. Applicants must also be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and provide a clean driver's abstract.
