Job summary
The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. The Manager, Commercial Finance is a high-impact strategic finance role responsible for enabling profitable growth across Compass Group Canada. Now, If You Were To Come On Board As Our Manager, Commercial Finance, We’d Ask You To Do The Following For Us Financial Modeling & Commercial Analysis Build and maintain sophisticated financial operating models and pro formas for new business opportunities. Develop scenario analyses, sensitivity models, and pricing recommendations. Evaluate investment opportunities, contract structures, and strategic initiatives. Identify and quantify key operating metrics and performance drivers. Translate complex financial concepts into actionable business insights. Strategic Business Partnership Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales, Operations, and cross-functional leadership teams. Challenge assumptions and provide recommendations that improve profitability and decision quality. Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Mobilization, and Operational stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle. Support decision-making by providing clear, data-driven financial perspectives. Drive Growth & Support Sales Success Partner with Sales and Operations teams to identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities. Develop pricing strategies and financial proposals that position Compass to win profitable business. Build compelling business cases that clearly articulate value to clients. Support RFP responses by developing accurate, strategic, and competitive financial submissions. Analyze market conditions, client requirements, and deal economics to identify risks and opportunities. Contribute to revenue growth through proactive financial support of the sales process. Client Engagement & Deal Execution Participate in client presentations and commercial discussions. Support contract negotiations by evaluating financial terms and business impacts. Help communicate value propositions, pricing rationale, and commercial considerations to prospective clients. Represent Finance during complex and strategic pursuits. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Improve financial models, tools, and commercial processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Leverage technology, automation, and data analytics to enhance decision-making. Identify trends and lessons learned from wins and losses to improve future pursuits. Contribute to standardization and best practices across the Commercial Finance team. Role Think you have what it takes to be our Manager, Commercial Finance? We’re committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here’s how we’ll know you’ll be successful in the role: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or a related field. CPA or CFA designation preferred. MBA considered an asset. 5–8+ years of progressive experience in Commercial Finance, Corporate Finance, FP&A, Pricing, Consulting, Deal Advisory, or Business Analytics. Proven experience building financial models and business cases. Experience supporting sales organizations, commercial negotiations, or customer-facing proposals is highly desirable. Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Exceptional financial modeling and analytical capabilities. Strong commercial acumen and business judgment. Ability to influence decisions without formal authority. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Ability to balance growth objectives with profitability and risk management. Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI and AI-enabled analytical tools is an asset.
