Position Overview: Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manager, Distribution Centre (DC) and Logisticsis responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the overall DC Operations. This role will effectively manage the development and directions of the operational team, to drive success through Key Performance Indicators while promoting the highest quality customer satisfaction. This is a mid-senior level Management role with up to 5 direct reports and a total team of greater than 50 operating nationally with multiple locations. Key Responsibilities: Maintain a Safe Work environment in compliance with all provincial legislative requirements Budget preparation and monitoring of department P&L’s to manage within the guidelines of the operating budget. Analyzes and reports on all department’s key performance indicators and trend analysis: Receiving Warehousing Inventory Control RMA’s Shipping Logistics Freight Management Reverse Logistics Handle customer escalations that require increased attention outside of normal day-to-day activities. Build strong third-party vendor relationships (particularly carriers and 3 rd party logistics services providers) Management of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System ISO Process documentation creation, review and updates Contribute to RFP responses related to warehouse activities and transportation Participate in new customer integration and onboarding Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives and participate in cross functional project teams Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and decrease costs across the Warehouse and Operations teams Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Supply Chain/Warehouse is preferred. A proven leader with the ability to manage cross functional teams. The ability to develop and build a strong, successful team A track record of delivering sustained, quantifiable results Advance knowledge of warehouse management system. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers at all levels. Demonstrated computer proficiency: Microsoft Suite / Office Applications. Data driven with an ability to use statistical analysis to make sound strategic decisions. Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment. Sound decision-making and problem-solving ability. Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines and performance objectives. Possess the maturity and credibility to negotiate at senior levels both inside and outside the organization. Requirements
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred, ideally in supply chain or warehousing, along with demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and a record of sustained, measurable results. Candidates should have advanced warehouse management system knowledge, strong analytical, communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
