Rise Vision is currently searching for a Financial Controller to work alongside the Finance Team reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. **This is a fully remote position** Mission of the Financial Controller As Controller you are accountable for ensuring we can predictably forecast our cash position by ensuring we know our cash and profit results on a daily basis. You are accountable for ensuring internal controls are in place to accurately and securely account for our financial assets and meet all regulatory reporting and payment requirements. You manage the accounting team and ensure processes are set to provide for timely, accurate financial reporting. As the controller you ensure all reporting is completed within the required timelines. This includes the monthly reports to management and our parent, AUO. You manage the relationship with our auditors and ensure our annual audit/review is complete with a clean opinion. You are responsible for resolving any discrepancies noted through improvement of existing processes and implementing new processes. You lead the accounting team and ensure the execution and continuous improvement of tactics and processes by ensuring each of your team members knows their quarterly OBT and has clear visibility on their respective critical number such that they can quantitatively account for their day, week, month, quarter and year. You lead by example to create and maintain a culture of trust, candor, transparency, growth, learning, empowerment, performance and accountability. You ensure your team members are all contributing at an A Player level and when they aren’t you ensure they are making improvements and meaningful progress to close the gaps and contribute at an A Player level. Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation Experience 7 - 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience 3 - 5+ years as a Controller 2+ years experience working for a SAAS company in a leadership role. Experience with month-end/year-end close processes Experience with audits (internal and external). Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards. Understanding of tax compliance and regulatory requirements across Canada, US and Europe Knowledge of internal controls and processes Track record managing staff and the availability and willingness to work at a senior level yet dive into the transaction level detail and assist as required Proficiency with NetSuite ERP Advanced Excel skills Strong oral and written communication.
