The bigger picture As a Financial Advisor, Lending in Regina, you will be responsible for understanding the financial goals of your assigned portfolio of members and supporting their achievement. This includes the offering and fulfillment of financial services and products. As part of this role, you will specialize in all things consumer lending. How you’ll be spending your time Member Experience and Sales * Proactively identify members’ financial goals and provide advice and solutions to support their achievement through the provision of introductory financial planning * Provide account and lending products, within scope of position, to meet member needs: * Memberships and accounts including lines of credit * Complex consumer lending products * Credit Cards * Safety deposit boxes * Mobile banking solutions * Day to day banking needs * Conduct proactive outreach activities to educate members and prospective members on the value and function of our products and services * Increase retention and expansion of member relationships by referring members to appropriate subject matter experts, based on needs, and follow-up to ensure member satisfaction Compliance and Organizational Support * Ensure complete, accurate and timely documentation * Adhere to security and operational policies, procedures and operational controls * Ensure healthy balance between opportunity & risk and between growth & profitability (e.g. through understanding and application of profitability margins in rate negotiation, fee subsidies, etc.) * Positively represent Conexus internally and externally to support the growth of our membership and to enhance credit union system support and collaboration * Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiencies * Provide support, assistance and backup as required for retail team The way people describe you You’re great with people, a keen listener and a skilled coach. Requirements
Candidates must have 2 to 3 years of financial industry experience in an advisory capacity, including experience in underwriting and credit applications. Completion of or progress toward financial planning designations is also required.
