Job summary
Cozen O'Connor is seeking an Associate with 5–7 years of experience to join our growing Family Services practice in our Vancouver office. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high-net-worth families and individuals on issues relating to family life including cohabitation agreements, marriage agreements, surrogacy agreements, separation agreements, division of property and debt and negotiated settlements. Experience with litigation is a plus. The Associate will be expected to manage complex client matters, mentor junior lawyers, coordinate with external advisors, and play an active role in strengthening and expanding client relationships. Strong judgment and exceptional communication skills, are essential. Candidates must be members in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia. About The Practice Our Canada-based Family Services group provides a one-stop shop for ultra-high net-worth families and individuals. We assist our clients with the full spectrum of legal needs that come with family wealth administration, including issues relating to real property, commercial interests, trusts, and other holdings, managing all legal aspects of the family’s assets and operations. Our team coordinates with key family members and their financial advisors to create a wealth maximization strategy based on a nuanced understanding of the family’s aspirations and values.

Requirements
Candidates must have 5-7 years of experience in family law and be members in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia. Experience with litigation and high-net-worth individuals is highly preferred.
