Job summary
Position: Hardware Expert Type: Contract Compensation: $50 $100/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week Role Responsibilities Interpret dimensions and geometric relationships from technical drawings. Translate 2D schematics into accurate 3D mechanical models. Decompose complex components into appropriate geometric features. Model curved profiles, sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers, and Boolean operations. Use Python to generate or automate CAD geometry. Export valid, watertight solid models in formats such as STEP. Validate dimensions, topology, volume, surface area, and inertia properties. Diagnose subtle differences between expected and generated geometry. Produce reproducible solutions that work in clean technical environments. Requirements Strong Python programming ability. Hands-on experience with 3D CAD or computational geometry. Ability to interpret dimensioned engineering drawings and schematics. Strong 3D spatial reasoning and attention to geometric precision. Experience validating or troubleshooting CAD models.
