We’re looking for a Manager, Family Office to oversee accounting, financial reporting, tax, and investment engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, and their related entities. You will play a key role in managing engagements, client relationships, and the team. You will be Accountable for: Supervise and review compilation and non-compiled financial statements and corporate income tax returns in accordance with firm standards for private client investment, holding, trust, and operating entities Oversee investment accounting, including recording and reconciliation of investment activity, income, fees, realized and unrealized gains and losses, and capital transactions Prepare and review periodic cash-flow reports, liquidity forecasts, and funding schedules to support family, investment, tax, and operating requirements Prepare and review consolidated investment reporting, including portfolio activity, performance-related information, asset allocation, and reporting across multiple entities and accounts Review personal, trust, partnership, and corporate tax filings and support the collection and organization of tax information across family entities Provide accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting services to high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, investment companies, and related private entities Liaise with investment managers, custodians, banks, tax advisors, legal counsel, and other external advisors to obtain information, resolve discrepancies, and support integrated reporting Identify and analyze client needs, and coordinate deliverables across recurring accounting, reporting, tax, and advisory workstreams Advise clients and partners on financial reporting, cash management, entity-level planning, and opportunities to improve processes, controls, and the quality of management information Develop and maintain reporting packages, schedules, dashboards, and presentations that provide clear visibility into investments, cash positions, entity activity, and upcoming obligations Manage overall planning and workload for month-end, quarter-end, year-end, tax, and recurring family office reporting cycles Prepare and deliver proposals to clients for services offered by the firm and contribute to the development and expansion of Family Office service offerings Maintain strong client relationships and communicate effectively with family members, client representatives, government agencies, partners, and staff Keep partners and team members informed of progress, significant issues, upcoming cash requirements, and matters requiring client or advisor attention Demonstrate leadership, review and evaluate staff performance, and provide guidance and training to junior team members The Qualifications that count: Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or a related field CPA designation is preferred; strong accounting and financial reporting experience is required Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in public accounting, private client services, family office, investment accounting, or a comparable environment Experience working with investment holding companies, trusts, partnerships, private investments, and multi-entity structures is an asset Strong understanding of investment accounting, cash-flow preparation, account reconciliations, and investment or management reporting Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with large data sets, reconciliations, schedules, and reporting packages Experience with accounting and reporting software such as QuickBooks Desktop and Online, CaseWare, Taxprep, and related systems; exposure to investment reporting platforms is an asset Experience reviewing and supervising the work of others and managing multiple recurring deliverables and deadlines Excellent command of English and French (spoken and written), with strong client-facing communication skills Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a high level of discretion and attention to detail You can count on us for: Competitive compensation A truly flexible hybrid work model Comprehensive health benefits supporting your overall well-being starting on day one of your employment Generous vacation and 8 personal days for family matters Firm-wide holiday closures so you can fully unplug Summer Fridays with early office closures during the summer months Reimbursement for public transit or free parking An annual wellness stipend to support physical and mental health Home office stipend to ensure a comfortable and productive remote workspace A vibrant, dog friendly office culture where connection and energy thrive.
