We are looking for a Landscape Maintenance & Snow Estimator to join our Ancaster team. This position is focused on estimating and bidding commercial landscape maintenance and snow & ice management contracts. You'll take tender documents and site requirements and turn them into detailed, competitive pricing that our Operations teams can successfully deliver. You'll work closely with Sales and Operations throughout the estimating process, from reviewing the scope and visiting properties through to building the final bid and submitting the tender. What You'll Be Doing Review commercial landscape maintenance and snow & ice management tender documents and scopes of work Visit properties and assess the requirements, service levels, site conditions and operational considerations Develop labour and production requirements for maintenance and snow operations Calculate equipment, materials, subcontractor and other operational costs Build detailed pricing and prepare competitive bids Review historical pricing, production rates and operational data when developing estimates Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing Work with Operations to validate staffing, equipment and production assumptions Identify risks, exclusions and areas that could affect the cost of delivering the contract Prepare and submit bids through MERX, Biddingo, Bonfire and other electronic procurement platforms Ensure tenders are accurate, complete and submitted on time Maintain estimating information and support improvements to our pricing processes What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who understands commercial landscape maintenance and/or snow operations and can translate that knowledge into accurate pricing. Your experience could come from estimating, operations, account management, branch management or another role within the commercial landscape industry. What matters most is your understanding of the work and your ability to develop a competitive bid. You bring: 3+ years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance, snow & ice management, or a related operational role Experience preparing bids, estimates or pricing for landscape maintenance and/or snow contracts A strong understanding of labour requirements, production rates and equipment needs Experience reviewing scopes of work, tender documents and site requirements Strong Excel skills and comfort working with detailed pricing models Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both Sales and Operations Experience with municipal, institutional or large commercial contracts is an asset, as is experience with MERX, Bonfire, Biddingo or similar procurement platforms.
