Job Description Key Responsibilities Lead activities related to the implementation of 3D digital interoperability standards across Engineering product definitions, Manufacturing and Inspection. This includes GD&T, neutral CAD formats (STEP AP242, QIF), visualization derivatives (3D PDF, 3D HTML), data engineering (digital thread, FAS). • Develop a detailed deployment plan with timelines, milestones and clear deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders. • Actively participate in various multi-functional group activities and drive required actions to closure using an influence-oriented approach. • Build a network of key project enablers internally and externally (e.g. digital solution vendors, key PWA/RTX stakeholders, standards committees, PWC suppliers) • Drive the creation, modification, balloting and issuance of documentation required for regulatory compliance of MB-DMI in Operations and Quality. • Lead change management activities related to digital interoperability. Must haves: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, (preferably mechanical, aerospace, industrial or software). • 3+ years of experience in related field. • Excellent knowledge of CAD modeling (e.g. CATIA, NX, Creo) • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Fluently bilingual in French and English • Working on-site 5 days per week Assets: • Master’s degree in engineering or MBA • Knowledge of GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5) • Track record of leading transformative initiatives • Prior experience in aerospace, automotive or similar field • Proven influencer • Basic statistics and programming skills (e.g. Python, C++) • Good knowledge of MB-DMI or related fields • Knowledge of manufacturing and metrology • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Able to work efficiently in a team environment Skills Required Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing (GD&T), Technical Leadership, Teamwork, Problem Solving, ASME Y14.5, C++ Programming Language, Python (Programming Language), Change Management, CAD Modeling, Model-Based Definition (MBD) Role Specialist - 3D Interoperability & Digital Manufacturing Transformation This is a full-time assignment within the MB-DMI (Model-Based Definition, Manufacturing & Inspection) team, part of the Quality organization. MB-DMI is a transformation initiative focused on implementing 3D model-based processes and technologies and integrating automation into product definition, manufacturing, and quality inspection activities. Cutting-edge technologies such as 3D scanning, high-precision CMMs, and other advanced solutions are leveraged as part of this transformation. The initiative aims to significantly improve delivery times, quality, costs, and overall engine performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and industrializing new processes related to the manufacturing and inspection of parts, leveraging a model-based approach. The position is based at Plant 1 in Longueuil, Quebec, and requires working on-site. Occasional domestic and international travel will be required.
