Position D&H Group LLP is seeking an Accounting Technician to join our growing team of professionals. As an Accounting Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the firm’s accounting and tax services. You will work closely with Managers and Partners to prepare financial information, complete bookkeeping and accounting assignments, assist with personal and corporate tax filings, and support a variety of client engagements. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accounting records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations Assist with the preparation of financial statements, working papers, and other accounting reports Prepare and assist with the preparation of personal T1 income tax returns and corporate T2 income tax returns Prepare and file GST/HST returns and other applicable government remittances Prepare payroll calculations and Record of Employment for clients as required Work closely with Managers and Partners to support client accounting and tax engagements Communicate with clients to obtain required accounting and tax information and resolve accounting-related questions Provide general administrative and accounting support as assigned Candidate Requirements Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset Minimum 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or public accounting experience is preferred Experience with accounting and tax software such as Sage 50, QuickBooks, CaseWare, Taxprep, or similar platforms is considered an asset Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Dayforce, and QuickBooks Payroll is considered an asset Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping procedures, and basic tax concepts Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment Benefits A supportive and collaborative work culture in a mid-sized firm setting Opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and gain exposure to accounting, bookkeeping, and tax engagements Comprehensive benefits and extended health coverage Firm-sponsored social events and team-building activities Opportunities for advancement and professional growth within the firm How To Apply Please upload your resume and cover letter here.
