Role Description: The Legal Assistant/Law Clerk/Paralegal will support the team with day-to-day legal and administrative tasks in a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Ottawa Metropolitan Area. Responsibilities include preparing, formatting, and organizing legal documents and correspondence, managing case files, and maintaining accurate records and calendars. The role involves conducting legal research, assisting with document review and evidence organization, and coordinating communication with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties. The successful candidate will help schedule meetings, hearings, and mediations, manage deadlines, and support the drafting of court materials and general documents. This position also requires handling general office tasks, ensuring smooth workflow, and contributing to a professional and respectful client experience. Qualifications Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation and case file management, including drafting, formatting, and organizing legal documents and correspondence. Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external parties. Demonstrated Administrative Assistance capabilities, including scheduling, calendar management, and accurate record-keeping. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with legal practice management software, word processing tools, and standard office applications. Experience preferred, though the position is also open to recent graduates with a Post-Secondary certificate in Law, Paralegal Studies, Legal Administration, or a related field.
