Yard Attendant

Chinook Equipment in Lethbridge is BUSY and looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our service team as a Yard and Wash Attendant. In this role you will be responsible for cleaning and rearranging equipment and assisting in maintaining the appearance of the Branch and other tasks as required. The successful candidate will work full-time and have the opportunity to earn a wage between $20-$22 per hour, depending on experience. Our ideal candidate is: * Experienced and comfortable being around heavy equipment * Reliable * Not afraid to get their hands dirty while wearing multiple different hats throughout the day What You’ll Do: * Clean equipment as indicated by pressure-washing away mud, dirt and cow manure to ensure the equipment is presentable * Unload equipment from trucks and prepare equipment for outbound shipments to customers * Maintain all aspects of our organized yard including snow removal, weed spraying, cutting grass, sweeping, emptying trash and other similar tasks * Haul small equipment on a trailer where needed, as well as ensuring the operational readiness of equipment in the yard * Move and arrange equipment to maintain organization and cleanliness of lot; compound; and storage outbuildings * Assist Parts Department by picking up or delivering parts to a Technician or other location as requested * Perform other duties as assigned What You Bring: * High school diploma and valid driver's license * Experience in hauling a trailer using a pick-up truck is a strong asset * Preference given to those who have experience in working with heavy equipment and comfortability in doing so * Strong organization and time management skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team * Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs * Forklift Certification an asset Why Work with Chinook Equipment? * Rewarding Compensation * Career Growth: Opportunities for advancement within a growing company. * Industry-Leading Benefits: Health and dental benefits with a variety of paramedical coverage, Life and Disability Insurances plus the ability to have a wellness or health spending account after 2 years of service * Culture: Deep community roots, family oriented and friendly workplace which values employees Interested candidates are encouraged to drop their resume off at our branch in addition to applying online.

The Yard Attendant is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and organizing heavy equipment within the yard. They also assist the parts department with deliveries and ensure the facility grounds are kept in good condition.

Candidates must have a high school diploma and a valid driver's license. Experience with heavy equipment and trailer hauling is preferred, along with the physical ability to lift at least 40lbs.
