Position Overview Our client, a well-established organization in the broadcasting and media industry, is seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee IT infrastructure, applications, and support services across multiple business functions. This role will bridge corporate IT requirements with specialized broadcast technology, ensuring reliable day-to-day operations while driving long-term IT strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure improvements, and system upgrades. The ideal candidate is a proactive IT leader who can manage technical operations, lead an internal support team, work with external technology vendors, and collaborate closely with broadcast engineering and other business functions. Key Responsibilities IT Leadership & Strategy Lead, mentor, and develop the internal IT support team. Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers. Develop and execute an IT roadmap aligned with organizational objectives. Manage the annual IT budget, including hardware, software, and licensing. Infrastructure & Operations Oversee LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, VPNs, and overall network infrastructure. Manage cloud environments including Google Workspace, GCP, and online backup solutions. Oversee on-premise environments including Proxmox, Linux, and Windows servers. Manage high-capacity storage infrastructure and storage arrays. Direct IT Helpdesk operations and ensure timely support for employees. Security & Compliance Develop and maintain robust cybersecurity policies and practices. Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives. Protect sensitive company data and critical broadcasting assets. Ensure IT operations align with applicable compliance and data protection requirements. Broadcast & Business Unit Support Collaborate with Broadcast Engineering to support the integration of traditional broadcast technology with modern IT networks and IP-based broadcasting. Evaluate and implement technology solutions supporting production, sales, marketing, and operations. Ensure IT systems remain reliable and scalable within a fast-paced media environment. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 2 years in an IT management or leadership capacity. Previous experience in broadcasting, media, entertainment, or a related environment is highly preferred. Technical Experience Strong understanding of networking concepts including VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls. Experience administering Google Workspace and Active Directory. Experience with SAN/NAS or other high-capacity storage solutions. Experience supporting media or broadcast technology workflows is an advantage. Working knowledge of cloud and on-premise infrastructure, backup, and disaster recovery. Communication & Leadership Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate effectively with vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
