Job details
Dayforce is a global human capital management (HCM) company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, with operations across North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region. Our award-winning Cloud HCM platform offers a unified solution database and continuous calculation engine, driving efficiency, productivity and compliance for the global workforce. Our brand promise - Makes Work Life Better™ - Reflects our commitment to employees, customers, partners and communities globally. Location: Work is what you do, not where you go. For this role, we are open to remote work and can hire anywhere in the United States OR Canada. About the Opportunity: We’re looking for a bold, modern and commercially minded Vice President of Talent Acquisition to lead global hiring for a 9,000-person software company. Leading a global TA organization, you’ll shape how we attract and hire exceptional talent across technical, go-to-market, corporate and leadership roles. This is a high-impact executive role for a leader who sees Talent Acquisition not simply as a hiring function, but as a strategic lever for growth, talent transformation and competitive advantage. You’ll have two equally important mandates: run a world-class global Talent Acquisition function with rigor, pace and accountability, while helping us rethink talent for an AI-enabled future. As AI changes how work gets done, teams are structured and skills create value, you’ll partner with senior leaders to anticipate the capabilities we need, challenge traditional approaches to hiring and workforce planning, and translate business strategy into a forward-looking talent strategy. This is an opportunity to lead Talent Acquisition end to end and at global scale—setting the strategy, building capability, evolving our operating model, harnessing technology and AI, and using data and market intelligence to drive better decisions. We’re looking for an innovative leader who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, someone who can inspire a global team, influence at the executive level and build a Talent Acquisition function ready for what’s next. What you’ll get to do Set the global Talent Acquisition vision and strategy, aligned to business and workforce priorities. Lead, develop and inspire a global TA team of approximately 35 professionals, creating a high-performance culture. Own delivery of approximately 2,000 hires annually across technical, go-to-market, corporate and leadership talent. Partner with executives, HR and Finance to translate business strategy into workforce plans, hiring priorities and talent decisions. Drive operational excellence across quality, speed, candidate experience, recruiter productivity and hiring manager satisfaction. Modernize TA through AI, automation, talent intelligence, data and technology, improving scalability and decision-making. Shape how we hire for an AI-enabled future, evolving talent profiles, skills and assessment approaches as work changes. Strengthen our employer brand and candidate experience across priority global talent markets. Bring the voice of TA directly into the evolution of our platform as Customer 0 partner to our Product Management team. You’ll help shape and validate our TA solutions through real-world use, champion our product externally, and serve as a credible customer reference and practitioner voice for customers exploring how Dayforce can transform their own talent acquisition function. Skills and experience we value Significant Talent Acquisition leadership experience, including leading a sizable global recruiting function in a complex organization. Proven experience delivering high-volume, global hiring across technical and business talent segments. Strong track record of balancing strategy with operational execution and delivering measurable hiring outcomes. Demonstrated success transforming TA operating models, processes, technology and team capability. Strong commercial and business acumen, with the credibility to influence executives and challenge thinking. Technically fluent, data-driven and platform savvy, with strong experience leveraging recruiting technology, talent intelligence, analytics and AI to improve hiring decisions, productivity and outcomes. Strong understanding of the HR technology and AI landscape, with the ability to turn emerging capabilities into practical business value. Comfortable partnering with Product and Technology teams to shape platforms, workflows and solutions from a TA practitioner perspective. Experience leading distributed teams and navigating multiple regions, cultures and talent markets. Experience operating within software, SaaS or technology-led organizations. What would make you really stand out You see Talent Acquisition as a business and growth lever, not simply a recruiting function. You have successfully built or transformed a world-class global TA organization while continuing to deliver hiring outcomes. You can connect business strategy, workforce planning and external talent intelligence to influence where and how an organization hires. You have a practical point of view on how AI is changing work, skills and talent, and can translate that into hiring strategy and action. You combine strategic thinking with operational discipline - equally comfortable advising executives and getting into the detail when needed. You are a strong builder of teams and leaders, creating clarity, accountability and continuous improvement. You bring curiosity, pace and sound judgment, and are comfortable leading through transformation and ambiguity. What’s in it for you Dayforce is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees. We are an equal opportunity employer and consider and embrace ALL individuals and what makes them unique. We believe our employees should be happy and healthy, with peace of mind and a sense of fulfillment. We encourage individuals to apply based on their passions.
