The Director, Performance Media is a senior execution and buying leader. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll own execution quality, buying decisions, and pacing across Paid Search and Paid Social, lead a team of buyers, and act as the accountable owner. Key accountabilities: Own execution quality across all Paid Search and Paid Social buying, campaign setup, and pacing decisions Establish and enforce a pre-flight checklist for every new campaign setup Lead and mentor a team of Performance Media buyers, building a team that's decisive, cross-trained, and self-sufficient through high-intensity peak periods. Monitor pacing daily and weekly across all active channels; proactively surface deviations, root causes, and corrective actions Oversee flawless trafficking, QA, and platform configuration across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, SA360, and Paid Social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, LinkedIn, Reddit). Drive adoption of AI-powered campaign types (Performance Max, Advantage+, AI Max) and modern automated bidding where they improve outcomes. Bring rigour to first-party and CRM data activation (Customer Match, Enhanced Conversions, Conversions API, clean rooms) in a privacy-safe, consent-aware way. Contribute execution-level insight into performance reporting, translating pacing and platform data into clear, confident recommendations. Qualifications Post-secondary degree or diploma in Media, Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in a digital performance agency or client-side role, with a track record of owning buying, execution, and pacing at scale. Prior experience leading or mentoring a team strongly preferred. Hands-on expertise across SEM platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, SA360, CM360) and Paid Social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, Reddit, LinkedIn), including AI-powered campaign types and modern bidding. A strong point of view on how ad accounts should be structured Strong, practical command of measurement and tagging infrastructure (GA4, GTM, Meta CAPI, Floodlight/CM360). Relevant platform certifications (Google, Meta, etc.) considered assets. countable owner.
