About the Role: This role will be responsible for supporting system upgrades, application deployments, cyber security and compliance activities, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operations to ensure critical systems remain secure, reliable, and available. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting industrial control or operational technology environments, along with hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, SCADA applications, infrastructure, system upgrades, troubleshooting, and cyber security requirements. Responsibilities: Infrastructure & System Deployment Configure and support OT infrastructure, including Windows servers, applications, service accounts, security settings, and supporting components. Coordinate server provisioning, configuration, and deployment activities across multiple environments. Support application installations, upgrades, migrations, and system integrations. Ensure infrastructure and applications are configured according to operational, security, and corporate standards. Operational Support & Troubleshooting Provide day-to-day technical support for SCADA, Leak Detection, OPC UA, and related applications. Troubleshoot server, application, database, communication, and system performance issues. Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement or coordinate effective solutions. Work with internal support teams and vendors to resolve complex technical issues. Support incident management and ensure issues are documented and followed through to resolution. Technical Consultation & Solution Development Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, project meetings, and implementation planning. Provide practical technical recommendations based on operational experience and knowledge of OT environments. Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, availability, performance, and maintainability. Contribute to technical solutions for system enhancements, upgrades, and new deployments. Compliance, Cyber Security & System Lifecycle Management Manage compliance and lifecycle activities for OT systems and applications. Review operating systems, application versions, and supporting tools to ensure alignment with corporate standards and cyber security requirements. Plan and implement OS patches, application upgrades, security updates, and other lifecycle activities. Support cyber security and monitoring tools, including Splunk, SolarWinds, CrowdStrike, and other compliance-related applications. Identify and coordinate remediation of unsupported, outdated, or vulnerable systems. Manage software licenses and assist with maintaining accurate system and application inventories. Infrastructure Coordination & Issue Resolution Work closely with server, network, database, cyber security, operations, and application support teams to investigate and resolve technical issues. Coordinate technical activities across multiple teams to ensure timely resolution and successful project delivery. Escalate issues appropriately and maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout the resolution process. Access & Service Account Management Review and implement ServiceNow requests for server, application, and system access. Manage service accounts, security groups, application credentials, password updates, and user access permissions. Ensure access is provisioned and maintained in accordance with security, compliance, and operational requirements. Support periodic access reviews and remediation activities. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Maintain technical documentation, installation procedures, support guides, system inventories, project documentation, and operational runbooks. Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and technical solutions. Support knowledge transfer activities with internal teams and operational personnel. Ensure technical documentation remains accurate, current, and accessible. Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration Work collaboratively with operations teams, project managers, vendors, cyber security teams, infrastructure teams, and application support teams. Coordinate with vendors on technical issues, upgrades, troubleshooting, and system support. Provide technical input and support to project teams from planning through implementation and operational handover. Technical Areas: The successful candidate should have experience in several of the following areas: Enterprise SCADA / OASyS DNA Leak Detection Systems, including ATMOS, MBS, and PLM OPC UA Server / Client Windows Server Administration OT Infrastructure & System Administration Server Provisioning & Configuration System Upgrades, Migrations & Deployments OS Patching & Compliance Management Cyber security & Monitoring Tools Splunk, SolarWinds, CrowdStrike ServiceNow Access & Request Management Service Account & Security Group Management Application License Management Incident Management & Troubleshooting Technical Documentation & Operational Runbooks Core Competencies: Hands-on experience supporting OT, SCADA, industrial control, pipeline, energy, and other critical infrastructure environments. Strong capability in administering, configuring, and supporting Windows Server environments. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, application, database, and communication issues. Knowledge of OT cyber security practices, system lifecycle management, patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements. Ability to work effectively with infrastructure, cyber security, operations, application support, and vendor teams. Strong ability to analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and develop practical, effective solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain clear and accurate technical documentation. Ability to manage multiple priorities while balancing day-to-day operational requirements with project deliverables and deadlines. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 10+ years of progressive technical experience supporting OT, SCADA, industrial control, pipeline, energy, utilities, or other critical infrastructure environments. Equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant hands-on experience may be considered. Strong understanding of SCADA/OT systems, infrastructure, and operational environments. Additional training or certifications in OT/ICS cyber security, SCADA systems, networking, Windows Server, or industrial control systems is considered an asset. Experience supporting cross-functional teams and complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects. Experience with technical documentation, reporting, and operational governance is considered an asset.
