This one starts at day one. Dexterra Group is launching a new NAI-affiliated commercial real estate brokerage in the GTA, creating an opportunity for an experienced Ontario Broker to become part of the foundation of a new business from the very beginning. This is an opportunity to influence how a new brokerage is built without carrying responsibility for sales targets, business development activities or operational management. What You'll Do As Broker of Record, you'll provide the regulatory oversight, professional judgment and governance required to establish and maintain a compliant, professional and reputable brokerage operation. While business leaders will drive strategy, growth and day-to-day operations, you'll be the licensed authority helping ensure the business grows on a strong regulatory and ethical foundation. Serve as the brokerage's designated Broker of Record and primary regulatory authority. Provide oversight and guidance to ensure compliance with Ontario real estate legislation, TRESA and RECO requirements. Support brokers and salespersons on regulatory, compliance and professional practice matters. Review brokerage policies, processes, marketing materials and transaction practices from a compliance perspective. Oversee trust account and FINTRAC compliance obligations where applicable. Support regulatory audits, inquiries, inspections and reporting requirements. Partner with executive leadership to provide practical guidance on risk, governance and brokerage operations. Help establish a culture of professionalism, integrity and accountability as the business grows. Qualifications Who We're Looking For This role is ideal for an experienced Ontario Broker who enjoys being the trusted compliance and governance expert behind a successful brokerage. You are respected for your judgment, transparency and professionalism, and excited by the opportunity to help shape a new commercial real estate platform from the beginning. Current registration in good standing as a Broker with RECO. Eligibility and willingness to serve as Broker of Record. Significant experience within an Ontario real estate brokerage environment. Strong knowledge of TRESA, RECO requirements and brokerage compliance obligations. Commercial real estate experience preferred. Sound judgment, credibility and the confidence to provide independent oversight when required. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. A practical approach that balances regulatory compliance with commercial realities. Nice to Have Previous Broker of Record, Deputy Broker of Record, Branch Manager or Brokerage Manager experience. Experience within a commercial real estate brokerage. Exposure to a national or international brokerage network. Familiarity with commercial property management, facilities management or related real estate service lines. Additional Information WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
