Location: London, Ontario, Canada Position Summary The Continuing Airworthiness Engineer supports the ongoing safety, compliance, and operational integrity of Diamond aircraft throughout their service life. The role investigates in-service occurrences, assesses defects and fleet reliability data, supports corrective actions and engineering solutions, and provides technical support to operators, maintenance organizations, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Investigate in-service occurrences and monitor fleet performance and reliability trends to identify potential airworthiness concerns. Perform root-cause analyses and risk assessments and support the development and implementation of corrective actions. Support repairs, modifications, deviations, and other engineering solutions affecting continued airworthiness. Provide technical support to aircraft operators, maintenance organizations, customers, and internal departments. Prepare and support Service Bulletins, Service Letters, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Airworthiness Directives, and related technical documentation. Support continuing airworthiness activities and procedures related to CAR 521 and Diamond Aircraft’s responsibilities as a Design Approval Document Holder (DADH). Coordinate with internal departments, aviation authorities, and other regulatory organizations on continuing airworthiness matters. Maintain appropriate technical records of continuing airworthiness assessments, decisions, and actions. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in a discipline relevant to the position. Relevant aerospace engineering experience in areas such as aircraft design, certification, continuing airworthiness, maintenance, or in-service support. Experience with occurrence investigation, technical problem-solving, and/or corrective action processes. Knowledge of aircraft engineering principles and applicable airworthiness requirements, including AWM 523, 14 CFR Part 23, and/or EASA CS-23. Experience working with or supporting civil aviation regulatory authorities such as Transport Canada, FAA, or EASA. Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Preferred Experience with CATIA V5, AutoCAD/DraftSight, Solid Edge, or similar engineering software. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration.
