Location:Corporate Schedule:5x2 The Position Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Manager, Total Rewards is responsible for managing Discovery’s compensation, benefits, and retirement programs. Program implementation, education, governance, optimization, and overall budgetary impacts are owned within this role. The Manager, Total Rewards ensures programs remain competitive, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with the Company's business objectives and talent strategy. As this position is privy to highly sensitive employee and organizational information, the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion is required. Key Responsibilities Benefits & Program Administration Oversee the administration and delivery of employee benefit programs; Support sites with benefit administration and employee data management; Develop competitive, cost-effective benefit programs through market research and benchmarking; Lead annual benefit renewals and manage relationships with insurers, brokers, and service providers; Monitor program utilization, costs, trends, and overall effectiveness, and recommend enhancements to improve employee experience, employee wellness and program sustainability; Partner with Communications to develop employee benefit education materials; Establish and maintain processes, controls, and governance practices supporting the administration of benefits programs; Manage annual benefit enrolment activities and ensure participant data accuracy; Resolve complex benefit issues and provide guidance to HR, leaders, and employees; and Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting requirements related to benefits. Retirement Plan Programming & Administration Manage retirement savings programs, including defined contribution and defined benefit pension plans, group retirement savings plan, TFSAs, and other retirement vehicles as applicable; Support sites with retirement plan administration and employee data management; Lead pension governance activities and support pension committee requirements, including meeting preparation, agenda development, minute-taking, action tracking, and governance reporting; Ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory, fiduciary, and filing requirements; Oversee retirement plan administration, enrolment activities, employee communications, and participant data integrity; Manage the pension financial statements for the DCPP and work with Finance on the financial statements and audit for the DB plan; Partner with insurers and pension advisors to support effective plan administration, governance, and program optimization; Develop and deliver employee education, communication, and awareness initiatives that enhance understanding and participation in retirment programs; Monitor legislative and market developments and recommend plan enhancements; and Prepare reporting and analysis on participation, costs, and program effectiveness. Compensation Administer compensation and total rewards programs, and develop practices that support the Company's business objectives and talent strategy; Review compensation structures to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and alignment with leading practices; Evaluate and recommend compensation strategies that support the attraction and retention of top talent across the organization; Provide compensation guidance and recommendations for hiring, promotions, transfers, organizational changes, retention initiatives, and offer packages; Lead the annual Short-Term Incentive ("STI") process, including planning, tools, guidance, communications, implementation, and reporting; Administer the Long-Term Incentive Plan ("LTIP"), ensuring the timely execution of annual grants, vesting events, reporting requirements, and equity recordkeeping through the Company's equity management platform; Conduct job evaluations, market benchmarking, and compensation analyses; and Develop and deliver communication materials, educational resources, and training initiatives that support ongoing understanding of compensation and total rewards programs. Skills And Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience; Certified Human Resources Professional or Certified Compensation Professional Designation is considered an asset; 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, pension administration, and total rewards; Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with HRIS, payroll, and rewards administration systems; Sound knowledge of the regulatory and legislative requirements of pension administration; Experience managing external vendors, consultants, brokers, and service providers; Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; Strong organizational/prioritization skills with an ability to multi-task to manage multiple projects while maintaining close attention to detail; and Ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, integrity, and discretion. Requirements

Candidates should have advanced Excel skills, experience with HRIS, payroll, and rewards systems, pension regulatory knowledge, vendor-management experience, and strong communication, organizational, and confidentiality skills; relevant professional designations are an asset.
