Job summary
Waterworks / Distribution Red Deer, AB On behalf of our valued client in the waterworks/wastewater industry we are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead the Red Deer branch. This role is responsible for leading branch staff, driving operational and financial performance, managing budgets and inventory, ensuring safety and continuous improvement, and delivering strong customer and vendor relationships to support branch growth. Key Responsibilities Lead a team to run the branch effectively and efficiently in line with the business plan. Evaluate and update branch practices and procedures to improve daily operations and prioritize work to meet timelines. Track branch financial and operational progress and provide regular metrics to the regional manager. Develop and manage the branch budget (including capital expenditures) and forecast monthly expectations. Facilitate employee safety training and promote a safe work environment. Monitor inventory levels, purchasing and inventory budget; reduce and control slow/obsolete inventory. Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships to support distribution and product opportunities. Perform other related duties as required to meet organizational needs. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales/Marketing or related field preferred. 7+ years of related work experience. Proven ability to build strong customer and vendor relationships and to understand market conditions and recognize opportunities. Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and database/CRM systems; solid administrative skills. Must hold a valid driver's license. What's On Offer: Base pay: $80,000 - $90,000 / year (exact compensation may vary by skills, experience and location).
