As a Service Desk Tier 1 Intern some of your responsibilities will include: Participate as a member of the National Service Desk, troubleshooting and resolving user support issues through phone, email, in-person support, and remote support tools. Provide technical support for industry-standard applications, core business applications, and Doane Grant Thornton proprietary systems. Configure and deploy computers, software, printers, and related technology equipment. Install, update, and maintain software, patches, and operating system enhancements. Troubleshoot hardware and peripheral issues involving computers, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and related equipment. Assist with IT asset management, inventory control, and hardware lifecycle activities. Coordinate shipping, tracking, and repair activities with external hardware vendors. Maintain local office technology inventory and equipment records. Support new hire onboarding activities, including workstation setup and basic technology orientation. Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support procedures. Participate in technology projects, office technology initiatives, and continuous improvement activities. Collaborate with and support members of the National Technology Services team across Canada. Perform other duties as assigned Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Service Desk Tier 1 Intern? Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated commitment to learning and professional development. Ability to quickly learn new technologies, applications, and processes. Ability to follow established standards, procedures, and security practices. Strong customer service orientation and a desire to help others succeed. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Foundational understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and file management concepts. Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 25 lbs (11 kg). Ability and willingness to travel to Doane Grant Thornton offices within the province and, occasionally, elsewhere in Canada. Join our team! Requirements

Candidates must be currently enrolled in or have recently completed a post-secondary program in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong communication skills, a customer service orientation, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs are required.
