Junior Accountant Downtown Vancouver Full-Time, On-Site Reference Number: CAN-BC-NO-133-050826 SUMMARY Reporting to the Accounting Manager for Doman Treated Wood, the Junior Accountant is responsible for full cycle accounting, daily cash management, account reconciliations, and a variety of accounting related tasks. EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly variance analysis Prepare monthly bank reconciliations Assist with month-end close under tight reporting deadlines Maintaining fixed assets continuity schedule Verify general ledger coding and approvals Participating in daily cash management Maintain Finance department filing system Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Excellent Excel skills Knowledge of computerized accounting is an asset Ability to manage time efficiently and work well under tight reporting deadlines Highly detail oriented and organized Open to learning about full cycle accounting in a publicly traded company EDUCATION Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance Benefits COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The typical hiring range for this position is $47,000 - $56,000 annually. The base pay offered is based on geographical location and may vary depending on the applicant's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Similar positions located in other geographical locations may not necessarily receive the same salary range. The compensation information is an estimate and provided to meet with applicable provincial Pay Transparency legislation.
