Working across our Simulation Laboratories, Simulation Suites, Home Health Labs and Therapeutic Communication Suites, you’ll play a key role in creating exceptional hands-on learning experiences for students and faculty. What It Takes Bachelor’s degree in a health, technology, communications or other related field at an accredited, post-secondary institution; Minimum three years of related work experience in a health-care related environment in a clinical healthcare setting and/or simulation laboratory setting in an education institution; Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist ( CHSOS ) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator ( CHSE ) certification preferred; or certification within the first 12 months of hire; An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered. Knowledge and comprehension of clinical/medical terminology and lab processes is essential Experience operating a variety of simulation equipment, including patient simulators, task trainers, medical/healthcare related equipment and technology is essential; Additional Information For Full Job Description, click here. This OnCall (Varied hours per week) position is available starting September 14, 2026. Hours of work will typically be scheduled Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. Shift days and times may change depending on operational needs. Evening and occasional weekend work may be required. The position is located at the Coquitlam campus; and will be required to work at all Douglas College campuses.

Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree in health, technology, or communications and at least three years of experience in a clinical or simulation lab setting. CHSOS or CHSE certification is preferred or required within the first year of hire.
