Our client is a General Contractor operating across Alberta, BC and SK, and with specialty in Design Build structural steel and modular buildings construction for commercial and industrial clients. They are looking for a Project Director to lead and develop their Project Management team while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Project Administrators while driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and project profitability. What You’ll Do: Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, Coordinators, and Administrators while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Oversee multiple construction projects from planning to closeout, ensuring schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations are met. Manage the master project schedule, resource planning, and shop capacity to optimize project delivery and operational efficiency. Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams while overseeing project communications, change orders, and contract administration. Drive project profitability by monitoring budgets, mitigating risks, implementing process improvements, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. What We’re Looking For: 10+ years of construction project management experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, along with a PMP or equivalent project management certification. Proven experience managing multiple complex construction projects while maintaining profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience coaching and developing project teams. Expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, process improvement, and project management software; experience with structural steel or metal building projects is a strong asset.
