Role Description The Vehicle Mechanic role at Dubs Kustoms is a full-time, on-site position located in Kamloops, BC. The mechanic will perform routine vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical issues, completing repairs and part replacements, and documenting work performed. The role also involves communicating clearly with team members and supervisors, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and following shop procedures and safety guidelines. Depending on experience, the mechanic may support or lead small teams on specific projects and assist with custom automotive builds or modifications. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills for a variety of vehicles and systems. Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues. Candidates should possess Supervisory Skills to oversee tasks, support team coordination, and contribute to project workflows when needed. Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship as an automotive or heavy-duty mechanic is preferred. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, hydraulics, and diagnostic tools is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation. Strong commitment to workplace safety, reliability, and consistent attendance.
