Overview: We are seeking motivated, positive, and dependable full time Forestry Assistants to join our team of Resource Professionals in the Forestry Department. What We Offer: * Tailored career growth opportunities within a team environment that recognizes talent * A diverse range of work with a multitude of clients * A fun, professional and safety-first work environment * Flexible work arrangements ensuring work-life integration Job Responsibilities: This position will mainly focus on field work, and its responsibilities will generally include: * Assisting with road and boundary layout. * Conducting road and boundary traversing. * Assisting with the collection of ecological data. * Assisting with riparian classification. * Participating in pre-harvest cut block reconnaissance and field evaluations. * Supporting Timber cruising activities. * Assisting with the preparation of technical reports and timber appraisals. Qualifications: * Diploma in Natural Resource Management with a focus on forestry, a related field or equivalent experience. * Minimum of 1 year of field experience in related forestry activities. * Knowledge of timber cruising and related forest survey techniques is required. * Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver’s licence with demonstrated experience driving 4x4 trucks and ATVs. * Physically fit and able to work outdoors; willing to work in demanding conditions. * Legally authorized to work in Canada. Candidates must hold a diploma in Natural Resource Management or a related field and possess at least one year of relevant forestry field experience. A valid Class 5 British Columbia driver’s licence and the physical ability to work outdoors in demanding conditions are required.
