As a Lead Educator, you will help create a warm, engaging, and thoughtfully planned environment where children feel safe, capable, and connected. You will work alongside your teaching team to develop an emergent, nature-based curriculum that responds to children's interests, ideas, questions and development. This role is about more than leading the classroom. We are looking for someone who can lead through relationships, example, communication and accountability. Qualifications Post Basic ECE Additional Qualifications Experince in a class lead role or experinces in mentorships and leaderships with co-workers Years Experience Required 4 Required Experience Holds a valid ECE or ECE IT/SN certification recognized in British Columbia Has experience working in an early learning environment Is confident taking initiative and making thoughtful decisions Has strong communication and interpersonal skills Can lead a team while remaining approachable and collaborative Is organized and able to manage the many moving parts of a classroom Understands that behaviour is communication and approaches children with curiosity and respect Enjoys spending time outdoors and sees nature as an important part of children's learning Is reflective and open to learning and growing Can receive feedback professionally and use it to improve Takes accountability for their role and responsibilities Is reliable, dependable and consistent Is passionate about creating meaningful experiences rather than simply "keeping children busy" Salary & Benefits Salary: $23.00-$25.00 Benefits In house Professional Development Training once a month Extended Health Benefits Staff Housing if applicable Professional Development Fund Two Weeks Vacation Additional Information At Paragon, we want educators to feel that they are part of something, not simply filling a position. Requirements
