We provide a fun, play-based learning environment with a strong connection to the adjacent elementary school. Required Skills Patient, fun, kind, flexible and energetic Able to plan and facilitate activities designed for young children in a play-based learning environment Able to develop and maintain positive working relationship with co-workers, children and their families. Able to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrate solid understanding of early child development and able to articulate knowledge to parents/caregivers in a non-judgmental and diplomatic way Very good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Qualifications Basic ECE Additional Qualifications Early Childhood Educator Certificate ECE Diploma would be considered an asset Infant/Toddler qualification/experience would be considered an asset Years Experience Required 2 Required Experience Minimum of two years’ experience in licensed child care or StrongStart programs Preferred Skills & Experience Training in the Early Learning Framework Experience with nature-based early learning and literacy Salary & Benefits Starting at $28.00 per hour, plus benefits available after successful completion of probationary period.
