Our ability to meet deadlines and budgets, along with our extensive expertise, allows us to play an active role in large-scale projects such as the Samuel-De-Champlain Bridge, the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM), and the Site C hydroelectric power station near Fort St. John, BC. • Support project teams in the development, updating, and monitoring of project schedules using industry-standard planning software (Primavera P6 and MS Project), while ensuring compliance with contract requirements and industry standards. • Participate directly in the development of complex schedules for major projects. • Be responsible for planning activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bid preparation and design through procurement and project delivery. • Ensure effective communication among all stakeholders involved in project delivery and work closely with project teams. • Promote and standardize the use of project schedules through the development of project management practices and scheduling culture across projects. • Integrate all required information to enable detailed tracking of every phase of project execution. • Prepare weekly or on-demand progress reports and performance indicators (SPI, CPI). • Develop cash flow curves and lead the implementation of Earned Value Management (EVM) within Primavera P6. • Monitor baseline schedules (reference schedules) against actual progress. • Prepare the planning section of the monthly project progress report. • Ensure the effective dissemination of schedule-related information, including schedule evolution, critical path status, delays, data analysis, and impacts on project delivery. • Demonstrate advanced proficiency with scheduling software while maintaining close collaboration with operations teams throughout all project phases (bidding, execution, and claims management) to optimize and enhance business processes. • Identify and monitor the project critical path. • Develop project schedules and distribute them to the appropriate teams. • Coordinate planning activities with other team members. • Ensure compliance with project management best practices. • Attend meetings related to planning and scheduling activities. • Attend site meetings as required. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Planner/Scheduler. • Strong expertise in Primavera P6 (essential) including the use of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and coding systems. MS Project (an asset), • Knowledge of schedule quality audits (DCMA 14-Point Assessment) and 4D scheduling software (Synchro 4D, Navisworks) is an asset. • Scheduling certification is an asset (PMI-SP, AACE PSP). • Risk management training is an asset. • Solid understanding of construction sequencing and methodologies. • Knowledge of the Last Planner System (LPS) in construction projects (an asset). • Bilingualism: English required, French (an asset) • Eligibility to obtain security clearance for projects requiring it. • Occasional travel within the Great Toronto Area and surroundings • Valid driver’s license • Sec. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity.
