Our client is a well-established, family-owned manufacturing company with a long history and a strong presence in Southwestern Ontario. The organization operates an established, hands-on manufacturing environment and has built a strong reputation within its industry over several generations. They are seeking an experienced full-cycle Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, values stability, and wants to become a key part of a long-standing organization. The Opportunity The Full-Cycle Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities. The successful candidate will work alongside the current Bookkeeper through a comprehensive transition and training period, providing an excellent opportunity to learn the business and accounting processes before taking full ownership of the role. The company is also planning to implement QuickBooks, making this a great opportunity for someone with QuickBooks experience who can contribute to a future accounting system transition. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end processes Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end activities Manage cash receipts, payments, and banking activities Prepare HST and other applicable government remittances Assist with payroll and related accounting requirements Support inventory and related accounting activities Assist with the implementation and transition to QuickBooks Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies Liaise with external accountants and other stakeholders as required Qualifications 4+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong understanding of AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting QuickBooks and/or implementation experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills This posting is for an open vacancy currently available within our client's organization.
