Role Description The Registered Massage Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based at Electric City Physio in Cobourg, ON. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing client-centered therapeutic massage treatments, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and documenting clinical notes in accordance with regulatory standards. The RMT will collaborate with physiotherapists, the orthopaedic surgeon, and other team members to support integrated care plans and help clients manage pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall wellness. The role also involves educating clients on self-care, injury prevention, and stress management strategies, as well as maintaining a professional, welcoming treatment environment. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Therapeutic Massage and Body Massage techniques, with a focus on evidence-informed practice. Experience or training in Shiatsu and other complementary modalities that support musculoskeletal health. Strong skills in Stress Management, including the ability to integrate relaxation and wellness-focused approaches into treatment plans. Excellent Customer Service skills, with a client-centered approach, clear communication, and professional interpersonal abilities. Registration and good standing with the relevant provincial regulatory college (e.g., CMTO) and appropriate liability insurance. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to coordinated care plans. Strong clinical documentation, time management, and organizational skills. Previous experience in an orthopaedic, sports, or rehabilitation setting is an asset.
