Job details

Do you get a kick out of walking into a trade show hall early in the morning and seeing your plan come together before the doors open? Are you the person everyone calls when something needs organizing, because you already have the spreadsheet, the backup plan, and the backup to the backup? Can you make a farmer feel like the most important person in the room, whether it’s a first handshake at the booth or a follow-up email a month later? Do you like travelling for work and coming home with leads, not just souvenirs? If that’s you, keep reading. At Elmer's, we’ve been equipping farmers with innovative solutions for over 40 years. Owning and operating our own farm we understand what farmers need and want out of our products and our company. We strive to provide our customers with products that will effectively handle even the toughest environments. Harvest after harvest, our mission is to produce world-class farm equipment for the needs of the progressive farmer. To meet the growing demand for our product we’re currently seeking an Event and Engagement Coordinator to be the person behind how Elmer’s shows up in front of farmers and dealers at trade shows, on factory tours, and in their inboxes. You won’t just book the event. You’ll own it from the first idea to the final ROI report. You’ll plan and run trade shows, customer and dealer events, internal meetings, and factory visits, handling the logistics, design, and budget, and showing up to execute them (expect to be on the road about 25% of the time). You’ll build and send our email campaigns through our email marketing platform, working with the Marketing Manager and Sales Manager on the message, and team up with our marketing team to promote what’s coming. Afterward, you’ll track leads and results and use what you learn to improve how we connect with customers. Along the way, you’ll look after our promotional items, brochures, and customer care packages. You won’t be doing it alone. You’ll report to the Marketing Manager and work alongside the Sales Manager and the marketing team, with room to develop new engagement ideas of your own. You might be our person if… You’ve planned and coordinated events and you’re comfortable with the logistics behind them You’ve run email campaigns on an email marketing platform You’re at home in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and pick up new software and digital platforms quickly You can juggle multiple projects and deadlines without dropping the details You write and speak clearly and carry yourself professionally in front of customers and dealers You can travel (roughly 25%) domestically and internationally and work the occasional after-hours when an event calls for it You stay proactive and adapt when priorities change In addition to a competitive salary, benefits, and profit-sharing plan, we offer a dynamic, growing workplace that provides opportunities for all staff to have an impact. Our facility is conveniently situated near Altona, MB - 36km east of Winkler, and only 100km south of Winnipeg.
