🔐 We’re Hiring: Security Architect | DevSecOps & AI Security emergiTEL is hiring a Security Architect for our client in the Professional Services industry. This is a Permanent opportunity for an experienced security professional passionate about DevSecOps, cloud security, automation, and emerging AI security risks. Location: Toronto, ON Compensation: $110K- $120K per annum Type: Permanent What You’ll Do You’ll play a key role in embedding security across the technology lifecycle — from architecture and application development to DevOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled solutions. Key responsibilities include: Design and embed security requirements throughout the architecture lifecycle and DevSecOps processes. Develop secure reference architectures for multi-cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and GCP. Act as a subject matter expert in DevSecOps, cloud security, application security, and AI security. Conduct architecture reviews, threat modeling, code scans, and security assessments. Partner with developers and DevOps teams to promote secure coding and shift-left security. Support SAST, DAST, API security, IaC security, secure CI/CD pipelines, security automation, CSPM, and cloud workload protection. Help address emerging AI security challenges, including securing AI-enabled applications, services, APIs, data, and cloud workloads. Support identity and access management, infrastructure security, data protection, detective controls, logging, and serverless security. Develop security standards, models, templates, procedures, roadmaps, and strategies. Lead security architecture discussions with technical, business, and project stakeholders. Translate business, technology, and threat drivers into practical security solutions. Apply frameworks and standards including NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO, PCI DSS, and CSA CCM. What You Bring 8+ years of experience in IT and Information Security. 3+ years of experience in secure cloud architecture, network security, and application security. Deep expertise across Azure, AWS, and GCP. Strong experience with DevSecOps and secure software development practices. Experience with threat modeling, security automation, SAST/DAST, IaC, API security, and secure CI/CD. Understanding of AI security and the evolving security risks associated with AI technologies. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Previous consulting experience working with technology, project, and business teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Certifications such as CISSP, ISSAP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are strong assets. Written and verbal fluency in English.
