We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Coordinator to support our workplace health and safety programs in Windsor, Ontario. This position plays a key role in maintaining safety compliance, coordinating training activities, supporting incident management, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with the Safety Director, third-party safety consultant, branch management team, supervisors, and field employees to promote a safe and compliant workplace. Key Responsibilities Safety Program Administration Maintain safety training records, certifications, and compliance documentation. Coordinate employee safety training, renewals, and onboarding requirements. Maintain safety databases and tracking systems. Prepare safety reports, statistics, and documentation. Coordinate safety meetings, take minutes, and follow up on activities. Support communication of safety policies and procedures. Incident & Claims Support Assist with workplace incident reporting and investigations. Maintain incident tracking logs and related documentation. Support WSIB claim administration and documentation. Assist with modified work programs and return-to-work documentation. Track corrective actions and follow-up requirements. Compliance & Audit Support Assist with internal and external safety audits. Support compliance with Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements. Monitor safety documentation requirements. Track inspections, corrective actions, and safety improvement initiatives. Support safety projects and continuous improvement activities. Employee & Management Support Provide administrative safety support to supervisors and field employees. Assist with safety communications and awareness initiatives. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external safety partners. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of safety coordination, administration, or related experience. Knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements. Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification (Part I & II) is considered an asset. Experience with WSIB claims administration, incident reporting, and return-to-work processes is preferred. Experience maintaining safety records and compliance documentation. Construction, manufacturing, or field safety experience is an asset. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
