Production Support (Summer Student)
About the role
A leader in the Maritime Forest Products Industry, the Doaktown Sawmill is currently seeking motivated students to fill the position of Production Support (Summer Student) for the summer of 2026.
Being a part of the Production Support team means your primary responsibility is to provide general labour support to the production teams while ensuring the safe and continued operation of the Doaktown Sawmill, Planermill, and Value-Added lines. The ideal candidate for this role will understand that this position will include shifts that can operate overnight.
This is a site-wide position, where the individual will work in a variety of areas; duties include:

Committing to and always promoting the use of safe practices.

Cleaning up.

Handling and lifting materials.

Must be hard working with a strong work ethic.

The position will require minimum 9 hour shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts.

Other general labour responsibilities.

High School students, 16 years of age or older.

Must have reliable transportation.

Experience working in a sawmill, production/manufacturing setting, or previous labour experience is considered an asset.

Must be available to work shift work (day and night shifts).

Must be a self-starter and team player.
