Marie Customer Service, Executive and Management POSTED: 20 hours ago Employer Dumanski Office Interiors and Compass Imaging & Sign Solutions ES Job ID 8141 Closing Date September 30, 2026 Salary base plus commission Duration Full Time Job Description Position Overview Dumanski Office Interiors and Compass Imaging & Sign Solutions are looking for a consultative sales professional to grow and support our workplace, furniture, window covering, imaging, display, audiovisual, and technology-related business. This is an important succession role within our sales team. The Account Executive will support long-standing customer relationships, develop new opportunities, and expand accounts across multiple areas of the business. The ideal candidate can do more than quote products. They can understand a customer’s space and operational needs, ask strong discovery questions, read basic drawings, coordinate internal resources, and develop well-structured solutions. Responsibilities Manage and grow assigned customer accounts across DOI and Compass. Build trusted relationships with existing and prospective clients. Identify cross-selling opportunities involving contract furniture, window coverings, workplace solutions, imaging, audiovisual systems, displays, digital signage, and technology-related services. Conduct discovery to understand client needs, budgets, timelines, stakeholders, and operational goals. Consult with customers on furniture, workplace products, window coverings, finishes, layouts, and related solutions. Read and interpret basic floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, and construction drawings for space-planning and project purposes. Work with designers, estimators, project coordinators, vendors, installers, and technical specialists to develop complete solutions. Attend client locations, active construction sites, and installation sites as required, confirm requirements, and support project coordination. Prepare and follow up on quotes, proposals, presentations, and project opportunities. Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, notes, drawings, and follow-up records using company systems. Remain engaged throughout the project lifecycle, from initial discovery through delivery, installation, and customer follow-up. Stay current on products, workplace trends, vendor programs, and emerging technology opportunities. Represent the company professionally in client meetings, site visits, vendor discussions, and business-development activities. Required Skills Ideal Candidate You are an organized, curious, and commercially aware relationship builder who is comfortable working across multiple product and service categories. You can assess a customer’s workplace, understand how the space is being used, review basic drawings, and identify opportunities to improve functionality, appearance, privacy, light control, collaboration, and technology. You do not need to be a designer, architect, audiovisual engineer, or IT specialist. However, you must recognize when specialized expertise is required and involve the right internal resources. Qualifications Experience in B2B sales and account management. Contract furniture, window coverings, workplace solutions, commercial interiors, construction products, imaging, audiovisual systems, technology, or a related field is a plus. Strong communication, discovery, presentation, and follow-up skills. Ability to read and interpret basic architectural drawings, floor plans, and furniture layouts. General understanding of space planning, furniture placement, and workplace functionality. Ability to manage multiple accounts, projects, quotations, and deadlines. Strong organizational skills, technology literacy, and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with clients, designers, contractors, installers, vendors, and internal teams. Valid driver’s licence and ability to attend client and construction sites as required. Willingness to comply with site safety requirements and use required personal protective equipment. What Success Looks Like Existing customers feel supported through the transition. Account activity and opportunities are visible, documented, and consistently followed up. Furniture and workplace opportunities expand into window covering, imaging, audiovisual, and technology conversations. Customers receive coordinated solutions that reflect their space, budget, timeline, and operational needs. The Account Executive builds a healthy pipeline of new and existing account opportunities. Clients experience DOI and Compass as one coordinated solutions provider. Compensation Compensation will be based on experience and may include a base salary, commission or incentive structure, benefits, and performance-based growth opportunities.
