One of Canada's leading material handling equipment providers, is looking for a hands-on Accountant to join their finance team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys reconciliation work, thrives in Excel, and is available to make an immediate impact. While this is initially a short-term contract, there is strong potential for the assignment to be extended or transition into a permanent opportunity for the right individual. What You'll Be Doing Perform high-volume manual bank reconciliations across multiple accounts Investigate and resolve reconciling items and outstanding transactions Work extensively in Microsoft Excel, including organizing and analyzing large data sets Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records Support the accounting team with general ledger reconciliations and financial reporting Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes Assist with additional accounting projects as required What We're Looking For 3+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment Strong experience performing manual bank reconciliations Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy Experience with ERP systems is considered an asset Accounting diploma, degree, or progress toward a CPA designation is an asset Why You'll Want This Opportunity Immediate start Competitive hourly rate of $30–$45/hour, based on experience Opportunity to work with a well-established Canadian organization Hands-on role where your expertise will make an immediate impact Strong possibility of contract extension or permanent employment Collaborative and supportive finance team Gain valuable experience with a respected industry leader If you're available immediately and enjoy reconciliation-focused accounting work, we'd love to hear from you.

The Accountant will perform high-volume manual bank reconciliations, investigate and resolve reconciling items, and assist with month-end close activities. Candidates should have 3+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment and strong experience with manual bank reconciliations. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and attention to detail are essential, along with a diploma or degree in accounting or progress toward a CPA designation.
