Your Mandate As a Mechanical Engineer As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will assist in the design, development, and optimization of power electronics hardware platforms and related components. In this intermediate-level role, you will apply your growing expertise to contribute to projects and tasks under the guidance of senior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and have opportunities to further develop your technical skills. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting design initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities Energize your day by contributing to the following responsibilities: Assist in the design and development of power electronics hardware platforms or related components, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, UL, IEC, CSA) and customer specifications. Conduct basic engineering analyses to support product performance, cost optimization, and efficiency improvements. Support failure analysis on design-related issues under the supervision of senior engineers, contributing to identifying root causes and corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure successful integration of designs into production. Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to ensure designs meet project and customer requirements. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including design specifications and test plans, under supervision. Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to assist in maintaining competitive and compliant designs. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting efforts to improve processes and product designs. Qualifications We are looking for: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on transformer or related product design. Proficiency with basic design and analysis tools, including mechanical and thermal analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, FEA). Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, UL, IEC, CSA) and regulatory requirements (e.g. DOE) for transformers or components. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and apply technical knowledge under supervision. Effective communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams. Organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
