Location: Montreal, QC, Canada 🏢 Work Mode: Hybrid – Minimum 3 days onsite per week 🗣️ Language Requirement: Bilingual in English and French About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor, Controllership to join a high-performing finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, financial reporting experience, and a solid understanding of IFRS. This role involves financial governance, month-end reporting, technical accounting assessments, risk management, and continuous improvement while partnering with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Legal, Tax, and Commercial teams. Key Responsibilities Oversee month-end close activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, and internal controls. Perform variance analysis across actual and planned results, identifying financial trends, risks, and business opportunities. Apply IFRS requirements to complex transactions, accounting judgements, estimates, and disclosures. Strengthen financial governance, compliance, and internal control frameworks. Provide technical accounting guidance and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to resolve complex accounting and reporting matters. Translate financial results into meaningful business insights and actionable recommendations. Drive process improvement, standardization, and automation across finance operations. Support finance transformation initiatives and digital enablement. Required Qualifications CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification. Strong experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, and controllership. Proven expertise in applying IFRS within complex business environments. Experience with month-end close, financial analysis, internal controls, and audit management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate insights effectively. Strong aptitude for digital tools and financial systems. Fluency in both English and French, written and spoken, is mandatory.
