As part of our team, you will play an important role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our precision-engineered extrusion dies and components. We are seeking a Operator Inspection to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to accurately inspect precision-machined components. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing dimensional inspections, interpreting technical drawings, documenting inspection results, and working closely with the manufacturing team to identify and resolve quality issues. Duties * Inspect finished and in-process components to ensure they meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and established quality standards. * Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions. * Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauges, and other inspection tools. * Perform inspection of precision-machined components and extrusion die components. * Verify dimensions, tolerances, surface conditions, and other specified quality requirements. * Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections as required. * Record inspection results accurately and maintain required quality documentation. * Identify non-conforming products and communicate quality issues to the appropriate supervisor or manufacturing personnel. * Ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and handled according to established procedures. * Follow established quality control procedures, company policies, and safety requirements. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection and work area. * Perform other quality-related duties as assigned. Requirements * Previous experience in quality inspection, machining, manufacturing, or a similar environment is an asset. * Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. * Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. * Good understanding of dimensional tolerances and basic inspection practices. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Good mathematical and mechanical aptitude. * Ability to identify discrepancies and communicate quality concerns effectively. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Strong organizational and documentation skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. * Physically fit and able to lift up to 30 lbs. * Willingness to learn and develop technical inspection skills.
